Jesuits as Educators of Rhetoric

We are pleased to announce the second online webinar organized in collaboration between the Institute for Advanced Jesuit Studies (IAJS) and the International Society for Study the Jesuit Rhetoric (ISSJR) entitled Jesuits as Educators of Rhetoric. By exploring the different meanings and ways that the apostolate of education has taken on within the Society of Jesus, the webinar will explore explores Jesuit rhetorical education through key figures, declamation, controversy, and pedagogy from the 16th–18th centuries, highlighting adaptations of the Ratio Studiorum in France and Poland.
