The Research Group in the History of Sociability (UQAM) invites you to the fourth online seminar of “New Directions in Environmental History.”
Claudio Ferlan will present «Cultiver la foi. Missions jésuites, agriculture, environnement et cultures alimentaires dans les Rocheuses au XIXᵉ siècle».
The talk examines early Jesuit missions in the western United States, focusing on missionary farming as both a material strategy and a tool for transforming Indigenous environments and food systems.
