The Jesuit Online Bibliography will offer a free, multilingual, and fully searchable database of bibliographical records for the field of Jesuit Studies produced in the 21st century. It will be available in Open Access at jesuitonlinebibliography.com in early February.
In the bibliographic tradition of the Society of Jesus, the Jesuit Online Bibliography will provide the records, abstracts, subject categories, and direct links to books, chapters, articles, reviews, dissertations, and others materials related to the study of Jesuit history, spirituality, educational heritage, and pedagogy.
The Jesuit Online Bibliography will be a collaborative resource between Jesuit research centers and archives as well as scholars in the field of Jesuit Studies. A voluntary network of correspondents and individual scholars and publishers will contribute to the project, which will consist thousands records in nearly 50 languages.
In addition, scholars will be able and encouraged to upload records of their own works, thereby helping to build a valuable and updated tool to Jesuit Studies.
With the support of the project’s collaborating institutions, this resource is available in Open Access. Users also have the option to create a free account to save searches and to bookmark results.
The bibliographic records will be aggregated within the search capabilities of the Portal to Jesuit Studies.
